Ole Fiddlers Contest At Flora Farm Bureau Picnic
The Flora Farm Bureau picnic on August 30 features an Ole Fiddler contest for Carroll County residents who play old time tunes. First prize is four dollars, second two, with judges awarding ribbons and the winner performing in the afternoon. Entries through Mrs Sam Sites or the county agent. Also on program are horse shoe pitching, a baseball game between county divisions, and a talk on the new farm bill by G E Metzger. Free coffee, baskets, and a cornstalk testing service are offered to farmers.
