First football practice opens 1964 season at Hillcrest
The first practice for the 1964 football season starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with all 15 players on the Hillcrest field. Players must bring physical exam slips and parent consent slips. School Schedule Announced For Delphi Community
Opening day is Wednesday September 2 with a half day and the first full day Thursday September 3. Teachers meet August 31 and September 1 at Delphi High School cafeteria for planning, with coffee and donuts provided. Cafeteria meals cost 30 cents for grades 1-6 and 35 cents for upper grades. Buses are relettered for the new district. Enrollment expected at 1910, 1100 riders daily, 1200 in cafeterias. Staff paid twice monthly on a twelve month schedule. Book costs by grade range are listed from 7 to 10 dollars.
