Camden Community Club members plan their annual fish fry on August 20 on Camden streets. A large organizing committee is listed with many volunteers handling thawed fish, cooking, serving, set up, and cleanup, including named locals and families.
Residents urged to attend a Jackson township school meeting at Camden school gym on Monday August 15 at 8 p.m. A 6 p.m. August 18 tour for Aim Hi Home Demonstration club will be led by Madge Hughes Malinda Kendall and Joyce Sanderson. A public card party is set for August 15 at the Deer Creek Conservation Club. Local couples vacationing in Canada include Dr. and Mrs. B C Kerkhove and Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Hodge and son. Baptist Dorcas Society picnic is slated for 7 p.m. Thursday at French Post Park. Judson BYF meets August 15 at Young America with a watermelon feed. Baptist Missionary Society plans August 18 at Mrs Orville Hinkle’s home, with Mrs Elsie Sink assisting. Mrs Leona Armstrong of Lima Ohio visiting relatives here. Flora residents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edging move to their new home. Dr C L Wise vacationing in Florida. ULCW of the Lutheran church meets August 11 at Parish Hall with Stella Johnson and Lula Sanderson hosting. Mrs Mabel Mullin leads the program.
The Delphi Christian church Christian Youth Fellowship met August 7 at Jennie Gerard's home. Rev Frederic A Chandler installed the new officers around a campfire, followed by singing and refreshments. Next meeting set for August 28 at Riley Park. Mary Reifert Withrow moves to new home near Delphi. James Scowden to move into the Withrow property.
