Three Noe brothers in Delphi shift to “Shank's Horses” transport amid legal trouble. George Noe, 44, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated in JP Lee Stone's court, fined 25 dollars plus costs, license suspended for one year. Haines Airport Set to Open Sunday in Delphi Area
Haines Airport, serving the Delphi community with charter service plane rentals and student instruction, will officially open Sunday April 22. Operator Foster Haines will host pilots from Warsaw Lafayette Monticello Logansport and Monticello at the field four miles west of Delphi on Bicycle Bridge road near Fauber's corner. Free introductory flights will be offered as available and planes for sale will be on site all day.

Vets Assigned Townships for Cattle Tests Carroll County
Ten veterinarians were assigned to townships in Carroll County for 100 percent brucellosis testing of cattle. The meeting was led by Dr. F. E. Law and Dr. G. H. Ellis with County Agent Harold Berry at the county extension office. Testing is free to farmers. Carroll County funds over 5000 dollars with the rest from state and federal sources. Reactors will be branded and farmers may choose between immediate indemnity or waiving indemnity and vaccinating calves, with plan A favored for health rules for Grade A milk. Certain cattle are not tested, including calves under six months and steers.

Educational contest finals set at Indiana University
Six Carroll county students will compete in the state high school contests finals at Indiana University on Saturday April 28. About 1110 students from regional meets March 24 will vie in mathematics English Latin and Spanish with exams starting 8 30 am.
