Shaeffer Chooses Ball State Football Program
Greg Shaeffer of Delphi, 6-0, 198 pounds, has accepted an athletic grant in aid to Ball State University as an offensive fullback and defensive linebacker. A three year letterman and team captain, he helped Delphi post two straight undefeated seasons, scored seven touchdowns, and averaged 6.7 yards per carry. He plans to major in physical education and has lettered in basketball and track. Shaeffer’s high school coach was Tony Berto.

Carroll Man Faces Kidnap and Rape Charge
A 29 year old Carroll County man William Lee Robinson of Delphi is charged with rape and kidnaping for abducting a Rockfield mother early Sunday. He was arrested at his home after the victim identified him from photos and a jail lineup. Bonds are set at 25000 each and arraignment is planned in Carroll Circuit Court.

Sheriff Hosts County Meeting On Disaster Stockpile
