Sussex County Licenses List 1854 to 1855
A clerk of the peace issue list records store liquor licenses and pedlar licenses for Sussex County from October 1854 through the present date. The long roster includes numerous firms and individuals such as John S. Bacon & Co, Conaway & James, Townsend & Williams, William Hazzard, Harris, and many others with varied license fees noted. Also appears are entries for bear sales and pedlar trade with monetary amounts. The document closes with the clerk's certification dated October 1855 by William F. oc2-2w.
