Interesting From Buenos Ayres July 20

Late letters from Buenos Ayres say President Lopez has been frightened into a peaceful adjustment with Brazil. Commodore Salter and United States Minister Pedén held a Montevideo conference on the Water Witch matter, referring the case to Washington for instructions. Buenos Ayres papers note the opening of the legislative assembly, the executive message, the murder of an American captain by a guard officer, and a major finance law.
