Victorian police armor based on Ned Kelly design
Victoria Police in Melbourne borrowed the Ned Kelly gunproof armor concept to protect officers in gunbattles. The suit, built by Wilkinsons of London, weighs 120 pounds and costs 1000 Australian dollars. It uses two inch steel squares under navy cloth with a face and neck helmet and narrow eye slits for rifle sighting.
