William Mcdonnell 29, of the 7200 Block of Guilford Road and Raymond j. Conaway 30, of the 300 Block Edmonds Avenue both of upper Darby entered pleas earlier this year to charges of simple assault and conspiracy. Besides the probationary sentence judge Melvin g. Levy last week also levied fines totalling $400 for Conaway and $300 for Mcdonnell. The pair admitted assaulting Patrick Clay 23, of Drexel Hill. Clay had been in a car with James p. Clay got out of the car and was kicked and punched by two of the men who were identified As Mcdonnell and Conaway. Police later found Carrolls to body on Burmont Road.
