LCB Gets New Life as Prohibition Fails to Return
Harrisburg Governor Robert P Casey signed a five year extension for the state Liquor Control Board ending the threat of a total alcohol ban at midnight. The bill passed 39-10 in the Senate and 155-45 in the House. It creates a Bureau of Consumer Relations, expands takeout beer limits, and allows more wine specialty stores while preserving sunset law constraints. House and Senate leaders warned further amendments may come.
