900 Bonsalls Reunion Marks 300th Anniversary in Pennsylvania
More than 900 related Bonsalls from 25 states gathered at Rose Tree Park in Upper Providence for a three day 300th anniversary reunion of Richard and Mary Bonsall. About 15,000 relatives tracing lineage to 1683 gathered for genealogy displays, services, and tours of local historic sites including Lansdowne and Darby area landmarks.

Delco students in Germany cope with anti nuke protests
A Garnet Valley High School exchange group in Krefeld West Germany witnessed a large anti American protest over Pershing II missiles. Despite some violence none of the Delaware County students were harmed or in contact with demonstrators. Teachers called the event largely peaceful while noting strong hospitality and a mixed opinion among locals toward Americans.
