Eight Week Detour At Lansdowne Darby Township Line Intersection
Construction began today at the Lansdowne Avenue Darby Road Township Line Road junction, closing Darby Road from State Road to West Chester Pike. PennDOT expects an eight week full closure with Township Line Road reduced to one lane each direction. Around six lanes will be added at the intersection, tracks rebuilt, and a left turn lane added. The TOPICS project costs about 400000 dollars and aims to ease severe bottlenecks for about 50000 daily motorists.
