Tavern license quirk keeps Tinicum bar open after fire
Times Harrisburg Bureau reports that Turk's Tavern in Tinicum remained open despite a revoked license due to a state law quirk. The LCB had ordered revocation on Dec 7, 1982, effective Jan 7, 1983, but owner Lou Saddic appealed and received an automatic stay. Greenleaf backs a bill to end automatic stays, requiring court proof of need and allowing review of prior LCB violations.
