Cat leash protest halts Delaware County ordinance action
In Springfield township more than 150 residents protested a new animal control ordinance targeting cats. Organizers argue it is unenforceable as older cats cannot be leashed, aiming to delay final approval set for July 14 while fines could reach 300 dollars. Bernie Stein attended to learn more. Marple parade organizers urge early registration for the July Fourth event with Joe Grady as grand marshal and bands, antique cars, fire engines, and floats.
