The Rev. David R. Kibby, minister emeritus of the Unitarian Church of Delaware County, was celebrated at a dinner by about 200 members and friends for 18 years of church service and 28 in the denomination. A noted liberal voice on civil liberties, he has led campaigns on gun control, divorce reform, and the war era, with recent focus on the church as a caring community and creative interdependence. A portrait was unveiled, and letters from denominational leaders were read. He and his wife Jane will stay in the Media area as Kibby plans a book completion and travel including a Yucatan Peninsula tour next March.
