Pa Senate Approves Local Property Tax Break
The Pennsylvania Senate approved a Republican plan to let school districts municipalities and counties exempt up to 15000 of residential property value or 10000 on all property from local taxes. Democrats called the bill a sham and warned it may raise taxes elsewhere as part of a broader plan linking to new wage tax increases. The measure passed 26 to 22 along party lines.
