Candidates seek ballots by counting write in votes
Two candidates Peter A. Tyrrell Jr and Rosemary D. Halligan sued in Delaware unity Court to count write in votes for November ballots on the Democratic ticket. They allege sufficient votes, 10 for Tyrrell and 22 for Halligan, despite incomplete name spellings. The board had discounted votes with missing or altered names. A hearing is set for June 27. Both were independents denied in the primary by party endorsees.

Woman 59 Arrested in Springfield Hit and Run
A 59 year old township woman Mary B Simpson of South Norwinden Drive is arrested on multiple charges after a hit run on North Rolling Road near Springfield Swim Club injuring 13 year old Leonard A Poggi who suffered a broken leg and cuts. Poggi treated at Riddle Memorial Hospital Middletown. Simpson surrendered at the police station and posted 2000 bail.
