Runaway high school sweethearts murdered in mountains

Lawrence Brock Jr and Amy Boyle, both 15, fled with a friend from Illinois after taking $1,500. Their bodies were found shot to death in woods 35 miles south of Lake City Colorado. The friend is held on $100,000 bond for murder investigation. Police have no motive yet.

Priest indicted for perjury in von Bulow case

Magaldi, pastor of St. Anthony Church in North Providence, was indicted on perjury and obstruction of justice for a seven page 1983 affidavit aiding von Bulow's bid for a new trial. The case involves whether Mrs von Bulow’s comas resulted from drugs rather than insulin.

Coffee linked to higher cholesterol in women study

UC San Diego researchers report in the American Journal of Epidemiology that caffeine may elevate blood cholesterol in active women who consume moderate saturated fats. No link found in men, and decaf coffee had no effect. The study involved 701 Rancho Bernardo residents and several UCSD researchers.
