Lima welcomes new Grumman fire engine for Lima Fire Co
MIDDLETOWN It was a four alarm delivery as a 1992 Grumman pumper valued at about 270000 arrived from Roanoke Virginia to Lima Fire Company joining a 100 foot ladder truck and a mini attack jumper. Fire Chief Ron Vanaman called it a beautiful piece of equipment and noted it replaces a 1977 Ford Hamerly pumper due for sale next year. Funds derive from a four mill tax increase approved in 1991 with a 100000 PENN4 loan per vehicle and 150000 from Ford Motor Credit lease purchase. Lenni Heights expects its car vehicle delivery in late June or early July.
