Margaret Hurlburt of Aston joined the Red Cross in 1943 and rose to club director by 1945. She helped set up service clubs in Corsica, Algeria, Tunisia, and Marseille with maps, dances, bingo, and letters for GIs. She recalls hiring locals as interpreters and a convoy to Casablanca.
