Collingdale urged to back repaying
Collingdale Borough Council was urged at a Monday meeting to back the board of health in addressing health hazards on the common drive behind 15 Hansen Place homes. Water and mosquitoes now plague the area and trash trucks cannot use the drive. Repair costs are about 405 per house, with homeowners eager to proceed despite owner delays. The health officer set a deadline to correct hazards, and fines were promised for nuisance maintenance. The council also discussed trash fees, a capital equipment loan, a one way Pershing Street plan, and an injury accident involving Patrolman John Singley. A special meeting June 19 will open bids for curbs and sidewalks followed by a residents input session.
