Unemployed Delaware County engineer finds pay cut painful
John Morley of Ridley Township, out of work since last March, faces a weekly $104 in unemployment benefits after earning $350. Two Chester taverns hit by weekend fires
Weekend fires in Chester Township and the City of Chester sent several people to hospital for smoke inhalation. Carletti Park Way Lounge in Chester Township burned in full blaze when responders arrived, with 75 men from five companies battling the fire until 4 15 a.m. The Ward Grill in Chester also suffered damage. One motel occupant was injured. fireman George Kaiser Jr and Peter Joe Kiner, 18, were treated for smoke inhalation and injuries.
