Two men rob Sears service station on 63rd Market Streets

Borough police report two men with a shotgun robbed the Sears service station at 63rd and Market Streets Wednesday night about 7 45 p m. They demanded cash, the cashier handed over several hundred dollars, and the pair fled by car toward Philadelphia. Several customers witnessed the holdup.

Grandmother's kin charged with fraud

Patricia Ann Gannon of Oxford and her estranged husband Matthew Mark Gannon, both of Chester, were charged with embezzling about $90,000 from Patricia’s grandmother Lillian Tonden over 17 months from March 1978 to August 1979. Gannon arraigned on multiple theft and forgery counts, bail set at 35,000. husband billed at 100,000.
