Train Derails In North Dakota Injuring Dozens

A Northern Pacific Mainstreeter derailed near Buffalo North Dakota injuring 37 people, with 7 pullman passengers and 16 crew aboard. No fatalities reported though several taken to hospitals up to 75 miles away as 300 feet of track and telegraph poles were torn up. The wreck, blamed on a broken rail, halted the railway line while rescue services from Valley City Fargo and Jamestown assisted.

HORSE CAVE Kentucky AP says a four crew fatal crash occurred when a B47 bomber from the Strategic Air Command failed during mid air refueling. The plane dropped from 15 000 feet and wreckage strewn across a farm and highway near Columbus Ohio. Only the navigator survived after bailing out at 7000 feet. the KC97 tanker refueling plane remained unaware of trouble until the crash.
