Goalie Mask Bandits Nabbed After Springfield Robberies
Two new Springfield police officers led a stakeout that netted Gerald L. Connors 29 and William H. Chadwick 21 in a multi jurisdiction robbery spree. The duo used a red and white goalie mask, a German P 38 pistol, and a white fur hooded jacket in four Springfield and Ridley Township holdups totaling about $2,000. The men were arrested after surveillance tracked their vehicle to Olde Sproul Village Shopping Center where the first hold up occurred.
