Two Ridley men charged in beating death at tavern

William Raymond Long, 25, of Bennington Road Falcroft, died after a beating outside a Prospect Park tavern. Francis Nolan, 23, and David Thompson, 20, were arrested. Nolan arraigned on murder and related charges, held without bail. Police linked the case to a McElwain noted history of gang ties and prior incidents surrounding Long and his family.

Palazzo says police lied about Fontaine incident

Joseph A. Palazzo testified he feared racial tension when seeking a cooling off period in July 1976 after a Republican committeeman’s stop sign stop and disorderly conduct incident.
