Concordville pastor fled amid abuse allegations
Ronald Patterson, a minister at First Baptist Church of Concordville, alleges Dr. Frederick Drummond sexually abused multiple young men and a woman, and claims threats were made against Patterson as he fled the state. Nacrelli testified that in December 1977 he received two job applications from racketeer Herman Fontaine instead of bribes totaling 1100 dollars and he denied taking 1000 dollars in January 1978. He said he was trying to trap Fontaine over rumors of vice squad officers on the take.

Widespread labor unrest continues as Teamsters Local 312 pickets Con goleum Corp in Trainer with 13 drivers off the job since Thursday. United Steelworkers Local 12698 are said to honor the picket lines while Boilermakers Local 802 ratified a three year contract and locals 804 and 806 rejected proposals. Local 312 cites a seven percent wage offer versus a nine percent demand. drivers earn six dollars twenty five cents hourly. Local 802 expands sympathy action at the shipyard where three locals began striking January 4 after talks broke down.

Costelli found guilty on endangering charge
A jury found 61-year-old Joseph C. Costelli of Norwood guilty of recklessly endangering another person in a July 20 1978 fire at his home. He was acquitted of arson and the attempted homicide charge against his wife was withdrawn. Bail remains at $10,000 as motions for a new trial are planned.
