A four year old boy clung to a city bus bumper for five blocks in Batesville Arkansas before being killed when he let go. Police Chief Jim Mitchum said Jerry Pierce was in front of the bus as it started and grabbed the bumper to avoid being run over. He dropped beneath the wheels at a corner.
