In Fort Madison Iowa UPI report Dr. Dial Richmond who delivered 3,500 babies over 61 years received a late payment from a former patient. The woman, now in her 80s or 90s, mailed a $50 check to settle a fee from the 1930s after her parents could not pay. Betty Maier confirmed the story and that Richmond, aged 89, still practices medicine.
Diane Nelms and Kenneth Benson, both from Middletown, pleaded guilty in Butler County Common Pleas Court to theft by deception after admitting they falsely reported finding mice in chili at Wendy's restaurants in Middletown and Hamilton. They received $250 fines, suspended prison terms, and were ordered to pay $675 restitution.
