Auto Kills Girl Pupil in Route 724 Crash Near Parker Ford

A car struck a seven year old girl as she got off a North Coventry Elementary School bus, killing Denise Shantz of Wells Road, Park or Ford, Chester County. The bus carried 46 children. crosswalk guard Karen Bechtelli was treated for a possible leg fracture. Driver Theodore Miller of Reading was hospitalized in serious condition. no charges filed. Coroner's inquest planned. The crash happened on Route 724 and Wells Road in Parker Ford.

New Libel Award Hits Rep Powell
