Edgmont seeks court OK for 5 mill tax hike
Edgmont supervisors plan a 1991 budget of 453 450 in an 8 30 a m Dec 26 meeting to raise real estate taxes by five mills to 19 and enact a new 0 5 mill ambulance tax. The move funds ambulance service with Lima and Newtown Township fire companies and increases total township revenue to cover a projected deficit while residents previously resisted an earned income tax.

Community ceremony and water testing update in East Lansdowne
The town schedules a Monday 7 p.m. ceremony at the fire company hall with a Christmas lights vigil as the High School brass ensemble under Jack Hentz performs. Hot chocolate will be served.
