Two Dead and Three Missing in Dallas Lake Boat Crash
At Lake Ray Hubbard near Dallas an 100 passenger fishing boat struck an underwater obstruction and sank. Two people died and three remained missing, five were rescued. Most aboard were family members. an 18 year old girl died and a 2 year old was among the missing. The crash occurred about 11 30 p.m. Sunday. 911 delays and a citywide telephone outage are under review.

Flood control study cites Cantu Branch runoff plan
The Army Corps of Engineers completed a flood control study for Val Verde County addressing the Cantu Branch drainage on the north side of Del Rio. It recommends diverting and channeling runoff as the most cost effective method to reduce flood losses. The study assesses three reaches including Del Rio Hedges area with streets such as Edwards Street and Ohio Street.
