Two children die and two adults injure in U S 277 pickup fire south of Del Rio
A Ford pickup carrying two children and two adults caught fire eight miles south of Del Rio on U S 277 Sunday afternoon. Amor Mata and Jessica Barrera died at the scene. Mara, seven, and Jessica were in the back seat. Javier and Mary Barrera escaped but suffered severe burns. Javier in critical condition and Mary stable at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Two adults are hospitalized.
