Two Injured In Arrowhead Medicine Bow Crash
A 7:45 AM crash at Arrowhead and Medicine Bow left two people injured. Involved were a white Explorer driven by 17 year old Jesse Sanchez and a brown Chevrolet driven by 52 year old David Breeden. Breeden and Sanchez’s female passenger were treated at Val Verde Regional Medical Center.

District OKs employee stipends for district staff
The school district board unanimously approved a stipend plan for employees performing extra duties in academics or athletics. Dyslexia teachers will receive a $2000 full-time stipend and prorated pay for part-time. Highest stipends go to Del Rio High School Banc Director $7200, ULL District Coordinator $6000, and Master Reading Teacher $5000 each. Other stipends range from 100 to 3000.

Mexico to invest 2.2 billion yearly in water infrastructure plan
