Adelita celebration at San Felipe Cemetery honors a Mexican figure
Del Rio residents gathered at San Felipe Cemetery to mark the 116th anniversary of Adelita, a secular patron of female soldaderas. The event, hosted by Friends of the Adelita, drew participants from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, San Felipe Del Rio CISD, Mexican Consul Carlos Obrador, and author Jose Alberto Galindo.
