Luther Jack Cowley 67 of San Angelo died Wednesday night in Shannon West Texas Memorial Hospital. Funeral held Thursday at Robert Lee Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Taylor Henley and Rev. Roy Epperson. Burial in Robert Lee Cemetery. Survived by Winnie Escue wife, a son Bobby D. Cowley, a daughter Brenda Allen, his mother Lillie Cowley, siblings, five grandchildren. Cowley worked for the Texas State Department of Highways and Public Transportation and served on the Robert Lee School Board and Fire Department. Burial by Shaffer Funeral Home. Funeral attendees included John Carl Escue and Janis Mitchell. Born February 5, 1914 in Robert Lee. Resided in San Angelo since 1962.
