Wingstop Expansion Heads to Del Rio in 5880 Sq Ft Site
Wingstop plans to open a new 5,880 square foot restaurant in Del Rio at Avenue and East Gibbs Street on a site formerly hosting a gas station. Eagle Pass builder Chad Foster Jr. filed plans. a second business may occupy the building. Wingstop, founded 1994 and based in Richardson, has over 480 restaurants in the U S and Mexico. Del Rio officials recently announced another new eatery, Fuddruckers, at Luby's former location.

Border Patrol seizes over $1 million in marijuana in week
Del Rio sector agents reported two major busts on Monday August 22. The first stopped a 2008 Chevy HHR north of Eagle Pass yielding 342.5 pounds of marijuana valued around 274000. Burlap sacks held the drugs and arrests were not confirmed. A second bust involved four undocumented immigrants encountered by Eagle Pass South Station.
