Governor Praises New Brackett Bank Opening
Governor Dolph Briscoe and Mrs. Martha Bartberger joined in a 1 30 p m ribbon cutting for the First State Bank Building of Brackettville. Bartberger, 99, cut the ribbon as advisory director while a crowd cheered. Briscoe praised Brackettville and Texas growth and thanked bank directors. The bank, beside the Kinney County Courthouse, was built with local officials and leaders in attendance.
