Man stabbed to death in Del Rio home yard
Del Rio police report a 22 year old man, Mark Anthony Jimenez, was found stabbed outside his Hogan Drive home in the 400 block early Thursday around 2 am. He was transported to Val Verde Regional Medical Center. Detectives Gonzales and Mendoza are lead investigators.

First Mexican Truck To Enter US Interior At Laredo

Case dropped against man arrested on murder charge
A 1975 capital murder warrant against 61 year old Mexican national Bernabe Arellano Perez was dropped after Wichita Falls police called for further investigation. Perez, arrested in Eagle Pass while trying to re enter the U S, was accused of bludgeoning 32 year old Patricio Martinez to death with a lumber in September 1975. He reportedly fled to Mexico the night of the killing.

Cocaine Seized at Camino Real Bridge in Eagle Pass
U S customs officers halted a 2003 Ford Expedition entering from Mexico at the Camino Real International Bridge in Eagle Pass. The vehicle contained an estimated 1.6 million dollars of cocaine. The 23 year old Mexican national driver living in Eagle Pass was arrested and handed to immigration officials.

Man arrested after ammo found in car in Eagle Pass
U S Customs and Border Protection officers in Eagle Pass arrested a Mexican national after discovering a large cache of rifle ammunition and magazines hidden inside a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo during a secondary examination. The 50-year-old driver was turned over to ICE for further investigation.
