INS intercepts 121 immigration violators at Del Rio and Eagle Pass

Suspect Held in Acuna Slaying of 17YearOld Lizzette Medina Flores
Police in Ciudad Acuna report the arrest of Diego Palacios Velazquez, 20, in the daytime shooting death of 17 year old Lizzette Medina Flores. The body was found in her family’s downtown Acuna vehicle. three bullets, two in the back and one in the right side, suggest robbery as a motive. A previously suspected man, Jorge Isaias Gonzalez, 21, was cleared. Detectives say they have evidence to detain the suspect but are not charging yet. Medina Flores, a secretary and college student, lived with her parents in Colonia Aeropuerto.
