4-H Foods Project visits Avanti restaurant for fieldwork
Eight Val Verde County 4-H Foods Project members toured Avanti to learn restaurant operations as part of preparations for the Val Verde County Food Show at the Dink Wardlaw Agricultural Complex. Project leader Jody Wiese said the aim is to promote healthy eating through recipe substitutions and hands on kitchen lessons. They viewed safety, food safety, meat and poultry, planning, and careers in food service.

City backs county water district plan in a vote
