George C. Barragan aged 77 died at 1 a.m. today in a local hospital. He lived at 508 West First Street and rites were pending at Humphreys-Doran Funeral Home. Survivors include seven sons, three daughters, a brother, a sister, an aunt, and many grandchildren. Katherine Johnson, 82, a Del Rio resident, died Sunday in a San Antonio hospital after a heart attack. She lived at 511 East Garfield Avenue. Rites set for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. burial at Westlawn Cemetery under Humphreys-Doran. She was born January 7, 1899 in Emporia Kansas, daughter of David and Nettie Spiker. She married Abe E. Johnson and came to Del Rio in the early 1930s. survivors include her husband and three nephews.
