Remembering Del Rio's heroes memorial day tribute
A large crowd gathered at the Del Rio Civic Center on Memorial Day to honor fallen soldiers. National Anthem by Robert Wade opened the program with prayers by Chaplain Major Richard Beyea and remarks from Retired Major General Gerald Prather. Speakers included Col. Thomas Shank, Val Verde County Judge Efrain Valdez, and U.S. Rep. Will Hurd, with Reno Luna noting local commitment to veterans as officials from county and federal levels attended.
