Aguirre and Richardson Lead Del Rio High Class of 2003
Roberto Aguirre valedictorian and Victor Richardson salutatorian of Del Rio High School will attend Texas A&M and University of Texas at Austin respectively. Aguirre majors in biomedical science and has a guaranteed medical school spot if he maintains a 3.5 GPA, while Richardson plans aerospace engineering and NASA or renewable energy work. Rotaract Aids Mexican School in Poverty District
Del Rio Rotaract Club members plus sponsor Del Rio Rotary Club undertake rehabilitation of Venustiano Carranza Elementary School in Ciudad Acuna Coahuila Mexico. About a dozen Rotaractors from SW Texas Junior College and Sul Ross State University plan improvements amid crumbling facilities and poverty conditions. Project leaders are Rotaract President Robert Gutierrez and International Projects Chief Amanda Mossman, with Ciudad Acuna Rotary Club coordinator Jose Santos guiding the site visit. There are 14 rooms in the school and nearby care for girls from Nueva Fuente de La Vida Home.
