Smarter 911 outreach aids Val Verde residents
Dozens in Val Verde County received help to verify and update street addresses through a regional 911 outreach program led by Forrest Anderson of the nine county Middle Rio Grande Development Council. The effort at the Val Verde County Community Center used county records and Google Earth to confirm locations and provide residents with validation letters for post office registration.
