Del Rio Family Awaits News On Nimitz Crash Victims
Del Rioans await information on a Naval Nimitz crash involving relatives of the Bruce Raymes and Bruce Sr. families. John Franklin Rayes, a U.S. Navy member aboard the Nimitz, is the son in law of G C Rice Sr. His wife, the former Bruce Raymes, lives in Virginia and was in Del Rio last April. Tammy Bruce, sister of Mrs. Raymon, said Mrs Raymes talked to officials this morning but no names or details were available yet.

Brackett Graduation Set Friday at Tiger Stadium

Del Rio Police Praised by Texas DPS for Narcotics Case
Texas DPS Director James B. Adams commended Del Rio Police Chief Jimmy Riggs and officers in a May 18 letter to City Manager Jim Miceli for cooperation in a narcotics investigation that spanned December 1980 to May 1981. He remained jailed in lieu of 25 000 bond on a conspiracy to smuggle a controlled substance. Del Rio city council tabled a change resolution for the Joe Ramos Youth Elderly Center as architect Joe Mills was absent to answer questions. Deaths Rafael Perez Chronology of Local Resident
Rafael Perez died Tuesday at 3 p.m. in a local hospital after a brief illness. He resided at 104 San Juan Street. Mass will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Park. Perez, a longtime resident, was born October 24, 1907, in RS ae logue. Survivors include Mia, Caroling Perez of Del Fig, sons Herbie Perez of Beaumont and Efrain Perez of Del B pau tines, and several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under Humphrey-Doran Funeral Home.
