Fetus Found In City Sewage Plant North Of Del Rio
Val Verde County investigators seek information after a fetal body about 11 inches long was found Sunday morning at the San Felipe Wastewater Treatment Plant in Del Rio. Worker Roberto Calderon discovered the fetus while cleaning screens and alerted plant manager Jorge Rojas. Authorities believe the fetus may have originated from within city limits, possibly washed into the plant from nearby streets. An autopsy is expected to determine age, with Justice of the Peace Joey Gonzalez declaring death at the scene.
