Street dealers busted in citywide narcotics raids
Local attorney Ruben Nino, 46, charged with two counts of cocaine delivery after Tuesday raids. Twenty five residents were arrested in a coordinated operation by the 63rd Judicial District Narcotics Task Force, part of an eight month undercover probe led by District Attorney Tom Lee and Task Force Commander Jimmie Granato. The effort, begun last August, targeted street dealers who cross the border to Mexico for cocaine heroin and marijuana and return to Del Rio to sell small quantities.

Deputies Reduced In Precinct 3 by Commissioners Court
The all volunteer Reserve Deputy Constables in Precinct 3 were cut by more than half at a Monday Commissioners Court meeting. Constable James Turner denounced the action and named several reserves as upset attendees as the court dismissed the force with little notice.
