Voters head to polls May 6 for San Felipe Del Rio CISD Board of Trustees and Hospital District Board elections with totals 105 and 106 and overall totals 75 and 584 respectively for the districts. The election schedule lists Municipal Elections May 6 223 Total 1 202 across the election slate.
Sergio Reyes, 24, of 4 E Garza St., was arrested at 151 a.m. on April 26 after a Del Rio police report stated he choked a woman and broke her phone as she tried to call for help. He faces assault and interfering with an emergency call charges.
An affidavit by CAPD Officer Kerr Wardlaw notes an arrest for assault on a family member and impeding breathing a third degree felony and interfering with an emergency call a Class A misdemeanor. The incident occurred at 65 King Charles Place at 12 25 a m on April 26 according to the report.
Operation Graduation organizers urge Del Rio residents to donate money and goods for a community driven event aimed at keeping over 600 seniors safe during a substance free night. The fundraiser supports the June 6 program at the Del Rio Civic Center Pecan Ballroom running from midnight to 7 am.
