Hometown Weather: Tornado Watch and Warm North Texas
North Texas faced a tornado watch with thunderstorms forming over northern West Texas. Temperatures ranged in the 70s to 80s in the north and 80s to 90s elsewhere, with winds 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 20 to 30 mph. South Texas expected drizzle haze and smoke in the morning, turning partly sunny in the afternoon with highs in the 90s. Isolated showers and thunderstorms were possible late Sunday night into Monday night.

The Lions District 2A2 Banquet at the Del Rio Civic Center Saturday celebrated a district that oversees 70 clubs from Del Rio to Kerrville, San Antonio to Laredo and Eagle Pass. Juan Olivares Jr. of Del Rio was elected Incoming District Governor and will assume the role July 1.

Memorial services planned for AIC Raymond Losano
A memorial committee in Del Rio forms to arrange services for AIC Raymond Losano who died in eastern Afghanistan on April 25. A Mass is set for May 7 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by a Rosary and public viewing at Del Rio Funeral Home. Visitation is May 8 at Del Rio Civic Center Pecan Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a memorial service at 6 p.m. Public invited to attend in support of the family. Contact numbers for information are listed. Losano, born April 20, 1979 in Del Rio, served as a Tactical Air Command and Control Specialist with the 14th ASOP at Pope AFB, North Carolina. He is survived by wife Sarah, daughter Abrah, parents Roberto Sr. and Oralia, brother Roberto Jr. and wife Monica, sister Melinda, and niece Kayla. Flowers via Del Rio Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
